Tools
Rolling pin, Tortilla Press, or something flat
2 bowls (for each meat and 1 for mashed potatoes)
Pot to boil water
Piping bag or zip lock
Small Spatula for flipping
Ingredients
1-2 potatoes, peeled and diced
Water
1/2lb Ground Beef
1/2lb Salmon or fish of choice
Cheddar Cheese
Instructions
Mashed Potatoes:
Put peeled and diced potatoes in a pot of cold water.
Bring to boil.
Once potatoes are fork tender, strain through a colander.
Use a spatula or bowl scraper to push the potatoes through the colander.
Add water until desired consistency is reached (I like buttercream texture)
Set aside to cool
Ground Beef Patties:
Put meat in food processor and blend until mostly smooth
Put a half the ball of meat between two pieces of parchment and press or roll thin maybe 1/4 inch. (I use a tortilla press)
Press biscuit cutter into the meat and hopefully cut it.
Remove excess from around the cutter. Carefully remove meat patties by putting your hand on the underside of the paper and gently turning the paper towards your other hand. Use your other hand to peel away the patty from the paper and let it gently fall into your hand. It’s ok if extra comes off with it. Just carefully remove larger pieces. (this can be a little tricky)
As you Remove each patty, place them in a preheated pan and poke a dent in the center of the patty. allow to cook for a few minutes until colored and flip to brown on the other side
If the beef patties puff up, once flipped press down to flatten them.
Remove from pan, set aside, and allow to cool.
Salmon Patties:
Cut salmon into 1-inch cubes and Repeat the ground beef process for the salmon. The salmon is much easier to work with and doesn’t puff up when cooking.
Assembly

Cut the tip off the piping bag and insert the tip, put some potatoes in the bag

Alternating Flavors, pipe a small amount of potato on each layer
